Kherson is an important sea and river port at the south of Ukraine and one of the major ship building centers. The city was founded in 1778. It takes its name from the ancient Greek colony Khersones, founded 2500 years ago in the southwestern part of Crimea.

If you visit Kherson take a minute to sit on a bench in a beautiful park, feeling relaxation of this town, visit Spaskiy Cathedral, Ekaterina’s Cathedral, Old Gates that used to be the entrance to Kherson when it was built, rest at one of the beaches. Unique combination of the sea and steppe climate, plenty of fruit, vegetables, melons, water melons, grapes and seafood is a good reason to spend your time in Kherson.
