Koktebel is a village at the eastern coast of the Black Sea between Sudak and Feodosia, at the bottom of the extinct volcano Kara-Dag. The name of the village means “land of the blue summits” in Old Turkic.
Koktebel is famous for wonderful beaches, pure dry air, unique landscapes, excellent grapes, wines and cognacs.
You can rent windsurfing, wave runner, go water skiing, diving, ride a horse or donkey, sale on a yacht or launch, go on a walk on a motor hang-glider or take a foot walk excursion to the extinct volcano Kara-Dag. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants on the coast. The climate of Koktebel heals inflammations of all kinds, rheumatism and hypertension.
Every year Koktebel hosts international festival Jazz Koktebel.
