Nikitsky Botanical Garden is situated in 6 kilometers from Yalta. It was founded in 1812 near the village Nikita. The garden occupies 1000 hectares. Collections of the garden have more than 28 thousands of various sorts of plants. Trees and bushes from different subtropical areas are planted on the decorative principle that’s why beside are situated Mediterranean laurels and stone-pines, bamboos from Eastern Asia and sequoias from California.
In summer Nikitsky Botanical Garden drowns in bright and sappy verdure of bushes, trees and flowers. It’s impossible not to care a rush looking at blooming silk tree acacia, oleander, pomegranate, crape myrtle. In autumn when yellow leaves spin in pure air filled with aroma of oleasters, begin to blossom chrysanthemums of various sorts and from different countries. Especially beautiful the Garden gets in spring. It’s impossible not to admire blooming almond-trees, peaches, apricot-trees, cherry-plums, cherry-trees, fig trees, quinces and other plants.
