Noviy Svet is situated 7 km from Sudak. The air is filled with the aroma of pine-trees, juniper and mountain motley grass. It is one of the most picturesque places in Crimea. Justly it was used to call Paradise.
One of the most beautiful nature monuments, landscape reserve, is located in Noviy Svet. Light building with four towers built in the style of medieval castle is one of the sights of the village. You should definitely climb the top of the mountain Karaul-Oba. From there you can see an amazing view of the whole Noviy Svet. Beautiful Sokol (falcon) mountain is situated to the left. And to the south-east there is blue sea with three bays – Green, Blue and Azure. Noviy Svet is situated in the Green bay. Under the Karaul-Oba mountain lies something like square quarters, surrounded by straight rock walls. In front of it “Adam’s couch” is situated. It’s a narrow gorge covered with green carpet of ivy. Behind you will see stairs cut off in the rock. It goes to the grotto where in Middle ages used to be Christian cave monastery. In the middle there is a well with good drinking water.
Champagne winery “Noviy Svet” was built in 1878 by prince Golitsin.
