The sanatorium is located 28 km from Yalta in the village Ponizovka. Primeval nature, mountain landscape, azure sea, soft subtropical climate. Coming down seaward mountain range of Ay-Petri serves reliable protection from winds.
"SMENA" is located in 700 m from sea beach in the forested part of Crimean state reserve.
There are 280 places in stationary building. Children’s rooms are for 4-5 persons (facilities on the floor). Family rooms are for 2-3 persons with facilities in a room. Library, first-aid post, playing room, stadium, summer cinema-hall and dance pavilion are available.
Comfortable pebble beach is completely protected by the capes Ay-Todor and Sarich. The water is pure and azure. There is first-aid post, post of the lifeguard, bathrooms, toilet, cafe with soft drinks, awnings on the beach. The children are being conveyed to the beach by the transport of the complex.
In the evenings there are lectures, evening meetings, cable TV or cinema outdoor, phyto bar, library, concerts, discos and contests. There is a full-length athletics stadium for rest and professional sports with training apparatus, volleyball and basketball court, tennis court and running track.
Five meals a day in a separate dining room, food is multifarious and high-caloried.

The camp is situated on 8 hectares of the Crimean land, in the cool of pine-trees and birches, silverberries, thujas and roses, right on the coast of the Black Sea are situated 3 three-storied buildings of the camp for 650 children. All the sport grounds has been reequipped in 2006, new modern cafe for children on the beach has been built in 2004, beach was reequipped too.
In 2005 the camp was awarded with the diploma of II extent as the best children’s sanitary institution in the republican contest “Crimean Pearl”.
