Simeiz is a picturesque place located 18 km from Yalta. The mountains are situated 3-4 km from the sea. The average high of mountainsides here is about 1100-1200 meters. The most beautiful crests are At-Bash, Ay-Petri, Chaka-tysh and Nishan-kaya cliffs. Simeiz is surrounded by stone masses of fantastical forms – Koshka (cat), Panea, Diva, Lebedinoe krilo (Swan’s wing) and others.
The most important factors which determine climate in Simeiz are warm, non-freezing Black sea and protective mountains’ wall. In the coldest months the temperature in the Black sea doesn’t go lower than +7 C. This place has the highest average annual temperature in Crimea - +13, 6 C.
